Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the iCalorie app. By downloading, installing, or using iCalorie ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

iCalorie is a nutrition and calorie tracking application that uses artificial intelligence to help users log meals, track weight, and monitor dietary habits. The App is intended for general wellness and informational purposes only.

2. Not Medical Advice

The information, insights, and recommendations provided by iCalorie — including AI-generated content — are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical, dietary, or professional health advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise routine, or health plan. iCalorie is not responsible for any health decisions made based on content within the App.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • iCalorie offers optional paid subscriptions (Plus and Pro plans) that unlock additional features.
  • Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on a recurring basis.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store account settings.
  • Refunds are handled according to the respective app store's refund policy. iCalorie does not directly issue refunds.
  • Consumable purchases (such as AI scan packs) are non-refundable once used.

5. AI-Generated Content

  • The App uses AI to analyze food images, generate nutritional estimates, and provide personalized insights.
  • AI-generated calorie and nutrition data are estimates and may not be fully accurate.
  • iCalorie does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any AI-generated output.

6. User Data

You retain ownership of the personal data and content you provide. By using the App, you grant iCalorie a limited license to process your data for the purpose of providing the service. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
  • Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or unauthorized content
  • Circumvent any access controls or subscription mechanisms

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, and software within the App are the intellectual property of iCalorie and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, iCalorie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health outcomes, data loss, or service interruption.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the App or email.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
